17th June - FAZE - Part !!

Faze is starring in his second video in 2 days - we shot the second one in The Highgate NW5, in the basement, a very good deal, 250 behind the bar get as much food and drink up to the tab and make a video for free! Well it didn't really work like that but they do have an interesting venue especially when you fill it with some gorgeous models..... Again shot on the EX1 with letus adaptor and Nikon lenses, very good cast and crew in an interesting location coming to an MTV site soon, appearently ? See Creeping East productions.

16th June Another promo for Divesh

Back to the studio in Leytonstone NE London, to film another promo for Divesh (Creeping East) it's for his mate Faze, he has the idea of using the models for filming in various dance routines, I have help in the form of two Michael, they wanted the experience on set and this is a great way to network and get involved with low budget video production. Divesh is good to work for he's always running late but works well with the client and gets the job done, as usual running overtime, but it's for a good coarse! we hope...... shooting on the EX1, no lense adapters this time, shooting in 720p and variable frame rate for slow-mo acquisition, pin sharp resolution and good work flow for the amount of material we shoot helps to move quickly throughout the day.

Good Food Show NEC 2009

was asked by 'the living room' to get some arty stylistic and creative shots of certain sections and parts of the show for a BBC promotional film, went up to the NEC on Saturday morning and managed to lug most of my kit around with me all day including a great piece of kit just purchased called the Glidetrack it's capable of shooting small dolly manoeuvres with a quick and easy set up - am I doing a good job selling it to you? Well because I didn't have the time to set up because I was to busy trying to capture the Hairy bikers and Gino D'acampo doing their stuff the food was pretty good as well.....

Glasonbury Mutoid Waste

I've been filming for a while now off 'n' on for a new doco of the Mutoid Waste Company who are a group of freedom fighting artists based around or close to London, they make art from scrap metal including cars and rusty bits of old rubbish that most of us would regard as trash - these guy's are genius have a look at an old program starring Hugh Laurie about their beginings, fascinating stuff. I met Kary and Andy through a posting on Shooting People who were looking for a D.O.P for the documentary to be made about the company at this years Glastonbury fesitval......

testimonials help (apparently)

we had to follow up the commercial shoot for 'Gold to Pounds' with the testimonials of people who had used the service - a couple of people turned up at Chelsea football ground hotel to tell us well they had got on with the exchange, Matt Loudan is the brains behind this project and all post is now complete, look out for the ad on 'Dave' and ITV3 - this is where the demographic lies take a look here: 'Gold to Pounds' got any teeth get a new camera!

Up the Hammers

finishing off an edit for West Ham United football club for their community support programme and have been editing some rather dodgy footage shot by my mate Joaquim on behalf of TrapMedia, we have the basis of the off-line and have now forwarded that to the clients for their opinion, so we'll probably be playing video tennis for a while until we score, never the less this has given me the opportunity to buy some great new plug ins for FCP these can be seen at the Noise industires web site, highly recommended!
